NSW Labor Party commits to a $1.5 million makeover

This is a copy of the text from a news article appearing in the South Coast Register:

"The NSW Labor Party has committed to a $1.5 million makeover of a decaying town centre in Jervis Bay.

Vincentia Village off Elizabeth Drive will receive some tender loving care, providing Labor comes to power on March 23.

The plans include relocation of an 'ugly' toilet block and electricity substation to somewhere less noticeable on site, pavement resurfacing and landscaping.

"Vincentia Village is in great need of a refurbishment," South Coast Labor Candidate Annette Alldrick said. It's a fantastic place, close to the beach. It will be great for local businesses and employment in the area. Vincentia has a growing population and also a big holiday population. The village will be a real hub to do your shopping, and sit down for a coffee."

The local chamber of commerce approached Mrs Alldrick during its sustained advocacy for improvements to the village centre. Funding will come from Labor's $25 million Main Street Revitalisation Fund."
